Worship Department
God has woven music into the very fabric of His creation. When He made all things “the morning stars sang together and the angels shouted for joy.”–Job 38:7 The book of Revelation portrays heaven as a place of ceaseless praise, with songs of adoration to God and the Lamb resounding from all. (A SDA Philosophy of Music - Articles October 13, 2004).
Music is integral to our services. We use the talents God has given our musicians and singers to give him praise and adoration. Music and song allow the congregation to give God thanks and praise collectively in each service. Our Worship department plays a large role in all the services. The department have several praise teams, who take turns to lead out in the set songs that we sing each week to mark the different parts in the service. We also have time in the service where each praise team takes the lead in singing songs of their choosing which they feel will enhance the service. We coordinate the “meditational” spot by arranging for “special items” either utilising the talent within our own church or inviting visiting performers to come and bless us, as they offer praise God with their beautiful voices.
